Description: My DARJEELING TO KATHMANDU Road Trip via ILAM TEA GARDENS. Last October, I was traveling around Darjeeling, this video I filmed when I was returning back to Kathmandu to make my Everest Base Trek. This video will show you how surroundings, lifestyle, animals, vegetations, forests everything between these two places. Beautiful thick and dense forest maintained by West Bengal Forest Department is just amazing while huge tea garden hills of ILAM, fikkal is also very eye catching. Since it was raining during unexpectedly, so I couldn't enjoy much of Darjeeling but it was surely a nice experience. Things I can't forget during that trip: - Dense well maintained forest and beautiful roads during that rainy time. - Beautiful Tea Gardens of Ilam - Milk Men carrying milk on Horses going door to door for selling. - Chhurpi Selling in Fickle, Ilam - Tea fields areas of Damak, Birtamod. - Beautiful Rice fields and our bus running in the middle of it. - Colorful dresses and energy of Dashain festival during. Darjeeling, today lies in West Bengal state of India, which once used to be Nepalese region. Even today, the main language of the place is Nepali and people living mostly are Nepalese while lots of Merchants from West Bengal has migrated here. Duration of TRAVEL Darjeeling to Pashupatinagar = 2.5 hours Pashupatinagar to Biratnagar = 2.5 hours Biratnagar to Kathmandu by bus = 14 hours Biratnagar to Kathmandu by flight = 30 minutes HOW TO GET TO KATHMANDU FROM DARJEELING? One can find plenty of taxi and jeeps from Darjeeling to Pashupatinagar border between India and Nepal, but since it was very early morning and it was raining, no one wanted to come drop me in Nepal as I had the flight to take at 3 PM from Biratnagar Nepal. So , taxi from Darjeeling to Pashupatinagar and then you can get bus directly to Kathmandu from there or you can also come further Birtamod or Damak or Itahari and get Bus for Kathmandu.
